My favourite aspect of the kitchen is the newly formed seating area. Previously a breakfast bar ran across the room and although it provided seating, it effectively divided the space in two. The seating area is now very much part of the kitchen, taking full advantage of the views of the garden while keeping the room open. Forming the seating from matching timber and upholstering the seat pads in leather complimented the tones in the granite work surfaces; the room flows seamlessly from eating area to cooking area. The addition of a glass top table further adds to the feeling of space in the room.
